I've been holding off on posting about this guitar. It got delivered to me on Wednesday with initial intention of being my GE's backup. I've spent the past 3.5 days in shock as to how much easier this neck is too play when compared to my GE. My last 3 acoustics have been 1 3/4 nut widths. I owned a 1 11/16ths awhile back but it had that modern Martin profile that is a bit thin for me. The D-18V has a more rounded baseball bat feeling profile when compared to the GE which feels more like a sharp V with little meat in the shoulder area of the profile. I know I'm supposed to like Adi more, but Clarence had a Sitka toped 50s D-18 and this gets me closer to that sound. Crosspicking and doing runs off an anchored C chord are effortless on this guitar. It's not as loud as my GE, maybe it never will be, but I'm assuming it hasn't been played, so as Jeff pointed out to me a few days ago, it may have some potential for opening up. I really want to make some recordings, but I'm at midterm right now. Hopefully tomorrow I can get outside and take some better picks than the auction pictures.
I lucked out and got it for $300 more than these usually go for. The buyer took awful pictures, even the case looks bad in this link( I think this kept other buyers away). The guitar smells, looks, and feels brand new.
Here's the link to the old ebay auction, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230444323885&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I meant around $300 less.
