Does anyone know the scale length of the RO-26 000 guitar. Ive heard it is 24.9" which would be short length, but the ones Ive played dont seem terribly "loose".

Measure from the saddle to the 12th fret, then double that number for scale length.
You forget it and I'll forget it, but I'll remember it, and don't you forget it!

24.9" sounds right to me. That is considered "short scale," but the difference between 24.9" and 25.5" is basically the same as going from 11's to 12's in string gauge. It doesn't start feeling loose until you get down to 24".
FWIW, I like 13's on my short-scale Silver Creek (basically same model as the RO-26). |
