I'll recount an experience of mine that is sort of related although not exactly.

A few years ago, I subjectively "tracked" the sounds of a BR-60 & a BR-160 straight from the boat. Upon initial tune up and inspection, the BR-60 was the superior sounding guitar. Better clarity, volume and bass response.
Both guitars hung beside each other on the showroom floor. Every week I would pick up the two guitars and play each. Both had factory strings. One day/week, about 3 months later, the BR-160 "blossomed" and became the better sounding guitar by, IMO, a considerable margin.

Things I regret I did not do are,
1. Change the strings on both guitars (I would have had to buy the strings to replace with for someone Else's guitar. No biggie in hindsight)
2. Record / note the date of mfgr. To reference approx. string age on each.

Out of my control was calculating playing time each got when I was not there and also the number of different customers who tried them.
They got split up around 3 months of being in the shop.

FWIW, that was my best analogy in the 2 guitars.
If I were to choose between the 2, I would look long and hard at environmental factors. Are you planning on traveling distance with it or will it stay on a relatively stable environment ? By the lami for "roughhouse" use or get the solid for more controlled conditions.
Lami's are no less affected by humidity issues.

There....... now I've really confused you..... buy the solid and don't look back. $130.00 is a bag of groceries and a tank of gas.
