What's the average used prices for these blueridge models? |

I'm looking at these models. I've seen a used br-160 at guitar center for 399.00 a few weeks ago. I'm not sure about the going rate from a private
seller for the other two...
BR-140 BR-160 BR-163 Thanks! |

These prices I listed reflect that, and most prices can be negotiated even further downward, depending on the seller's motivation. I recently had my BR 140 for sale, and took it off the market because I couldn't get a decent price for it. People are hanging on for rock bottom deals in this tough economic time. There is currently a Braz rosewood BR 260 for sale in our classifieds at a stupidly low price, with no takers. If I had the cash, I'd jump on it. Look over the BR offerings on ebay to get a better idea of what they're bringing. Striving for mediocrity and perpetually falling short. |

Interestingly enough in the Seattle area I have seen exactly two used Blueridges on craigslist in the past two years. Both of these were recently. Judging from
the asking prices of these I'd venture to say they hold their used prices about as well as any and better than some like Ibanez, Seagull, Yamaha and Aria.
Your area may vary.

I see Maury will sell you a new BR-160 for $675 or a BR-163 for $695 If the 160 is between $400-$500 used I would imagine the 163 is in the same range, though used avalability may drive it up a few bucks. Don't think there are as many around as the dreads. I wouldn't let mine go for less than $500. I likey !!!!
So many guitars....So little time.
So many taxes......So few guitars

I bought my used 163 for 525 with case. That was considerably less than most people were asking at that time, which was only about a year ago. Hard to believe
they've dropped that much since then. But I'm with Pappy...I would not sell mine for less than 500. They are pretty hard to find used because nobody
wants to get rid of theirs.

Also, most people are ASKING a lot more than $350 for a BR-140, though I dont know what they are getting for them. I've seen several even better models
going for $400 on ebay recently. (and kicked myself afterward for not bidding).

The used BR-160 for $400 was a good deal if it was to your liking and in decent shape.

Thanks guys! I'm most interested in the br-163, just suprised to see it goes for a lot more than the br-160. Yeah, I don't see the 163 come up that
often on ebay...

campfirehero wrote: Hmmm........ That is strange. Must be a supply and demand thing....... ie 10 used BR160s on Ebay and say 2 used BR-163's might dictate that the 163's will sell for more $$$ at a given point in time. A friend of mine was telling me last night that his beloved Jam Man looping foot pedal is selling on Ebay used at almost the same price as you can buy 1 new. Must be a hot item at the moment........not that I'd ever consider buying used with such a small margin to buying new. |

There was a thread on the AGF not so long ago questioning the shift of purchases from dreads to OM sizes. Don't know as it was ever proved to be true but I do believe there are probably way more dread sized guitars around and consequently a lot more for the used market. OM's and smaller are getting more popular but the used market has far fewer available.

Nothing in the classifieds around here. No guitars period, not even bad ones.
Have just about everything possible on eBay being watched. They all seem to go for more than I want to (or can) ante up. $400 for a good shape ("seasoned"?) all solid guitar would be great. Will keep on watching eBay... However, I want to get a guitar fairly soon...the deal on the new BR 60 has me intrigued. Might just try to get one of the Silver Creek deals and hold off the bigger fish for now. BJ of Indiana |

itainthem,
Where did you get the bushings for the Sta-Tite's. I have a 2004 BR-160 I'm thinking about putting the Sta-Tite's on. The holes in mine are larger than the ones that come with the Sta-Tites.
Thanks |

The BR160 is louder that the HD28, especially on the e & b strings. The HD is more balanced across all strings, and plays better. The BR plays good, just
not as good as the HD.
