I just had to sit down and write this; in the summer I was in the States, bought a BR-43 as a cheap'n'cheerful version of my 1960's Martin 0018
that I've had for 30 years ... a guitar that anyone who has ever played it, still says to me ... "Chris, do you still have the Martin?"
I've just been playing the BR-43, now with ebony pins and no pick-guard (it fell off!), and with bronze strings (as against Phosphor-Bronze). Well, the Martin's got more bottom, is more mature, but the BR's got more punch; it's as sweet as a nut and is now my favourite guitar.
Oh, and for anyone looking for a weakness in the Blueridge, just let me say that the tuners are accurate and responsive ... oh, and the neck's just wonderful too.
