Just got back from another saturday afternoon trip to Sky Guitars in Denton TX, carrier of Blueridge and RK, among others, like Fender, Guild, EPi, etc....
But I only am there for the BR and the RK. In the end, really prefer Br tone, and i solely focused this afternoon on the BR140 and the BR40. I dont know if it's cause I am getting older, or what, but I preferred the Lammy, the 40....why? well, really liked the tone of it....Perhaps it was a setup thing. The 140 was kind of breaking up and buzzing, where the 40 was strong, round balanced tone and real powerful. strumming or fingerpicking, I really liked it. And I am kind of an all solid wood snob, so i was quite taken aback by my discovery of the BR40....
well, just wanted to share my BR progression...I might still end up with a used 140, but a new 40 or even a used one would be fine too....and it would be cool to plug some $, once i have it, back into the local economy vs ssay the guitar hut, though ttheir shipped with hard shell case prices are the lowest i ever seen....
also, really liked the black pg.
