This is not a plug for Direct TV but because of the small town I live in our cable rates went threw the roof so I found many people in our small town were going to Direct or Dish TV. Well it was 1/2 the price of our cable. If any members have this type ...

I find that very encouraging. It lets me know that despite some quality control issues, Blueridge makes a good guitar. If it is being used by professional musicians (or skilled layman - poor use of the term there), then it is a testament to brand ...

Welcome aboard, BJM7777. You need to take a BR40 for a test drive. I'm also an all-solid wood guy, but the Blueridge 40 series are something special. Dave

That's funny, I was just reading in the summer issue of Fretboard Journal about Huss & Dalton guitars. Jeff Huss was explaining how hard it is for them to crack the bluegrass market and says "They're all either Martin or Blueridge these days." ...

Champagne taste on a beer budget - I would love a Martin, like the D-18 CFM IV 1955, but I can only afford the Blueridge or Recording King stuff. I suppose we should "buy local" but sometimes it's just too expensive.....

Seeing more Blueridge on Bluegrass TV shows (topic)
On my new satellite dish I've found some good bluegrass shows I never got on cable. One channel called RFDTV there are some good bluegrass music shows and some good down home country picking programs to. It's been a real treat to find these shows. Being a ...

BR-140 (reply)
Bought my BR-140 about 16 or 17 months ago and play it lots. Sounds warm and full but can get a bit muddy if the strings get a little old. I prefer Earthwood light gauge. Have not compared the BR-140 to a D-18, which is a kind of holy grail for me, but ...
