The Epi headstock on the 12 is the same as the equivalent Gibson 335-12 as far as "elongated" goes.

Ha! Ya.....I should have figured Epiphone by the elongated headstock. Neat guitar.

The one Greg is playing..... I think someone had a similar guitar to it for sale here on the forum awhile back. The seller wasn't sure what it was at the time (nothing to go on. No labels anywhere inside or outside)...... Same shaped headstock, but it wasn't a slot-head. The...

Interesting sound-hole on that 1 Greg. The headstock shape says it might be an ovation, but I'm guessing it was something else. The body looks like a standard wood design....... How did it sound?

Never got the Buddy Holly connection 'till you pointed it out, Dave. I didn't know who he was at the time, but I'll take the compliment now. I remember picking the glasses out myself, but I think Mom and Dad were glad to get a pair that were strong enough that a wild kid couldn't break.

This was made in the late '60's, and I still get a kick out of the pants and glasses.
