looks like a beautiful, well crafted instrument for the money. I've played BG 160's and BR 180's and was very impressed with the tonal quality with
both notes and chords on these guitars ringing loud, clear and true. But I'm curious as to whether the rosewood sides on the 70Ce are laminate or solid.

Hey, gitano718! You've answered your own question when you said you fell in love with the sound. My BR-40 changed my views on laminated backs and sides.
Maybe solids open up a bit more over time, but if it sounds good out of the box, why worry? Soon Blueridge owners will rule the world.

Check out my (FISHMAN PICKUP FALLS THROUGH) post today. I think you will be very happy with the BR70CE but see if they can order yours with the FISHMAN PREFIX
PLUS-T and not the cheaper ones that are coming out. I wouldn't let that keep me from buying the br70ce it should still sound great.

Thanks for the feedback...much appreciated and I'll definitely check out some other posts on the BR-70. I was first taken with Blue Ridge a year ago when I
first picked one up at McCabes in Santa Monica and was a heartbeat away from picking up an antique burst BG 160 but at the last minute went for a Guild GAD
JF-48. Something in me keeps going back to the Blue Ridge sound which to me has both the deep throaty low end of a Martin and high end clarity of a Taylor for
a fraction of the price. Not to mention they're pretty good lookin' too. Impressive stuff.

The BR 70CE has laminate rosewood sides and back, but if you would do a thorough research on this forum, you would find that the BR 70 (or 70 CE) tonal
quality, in the opinions of most players in general, is equal to more expensive guitars with sold rosewood sides and back. I support that statement. I've
just brought home a Blueridge BR 60 Sunburst from a friend at church, I'm going to play it a couple days to see if I want to buy it, it has laminate
rosewood backs and sides, and wow, a great sounding guitar. I think there are 2 major reasons Blueridge guitars are getting so much attention. The first is
that all of their guitars are tone powerhouses that compare quite well with guitars costing 2 to 2 1/2 times as much. The second reason is that the Blueridge
laminate guitars (very affordable for the large market of buyers on a budget) are also tone powerhouses, which can hold there own against many solid wood
guitars. I had never heard of Blueridge when I first picked...

The 70 series is laminate. If you look around at previous posts you may be able to find some previous posts about the 70CE. You could always message a member
who owns one and get some input. I personally love the 70 series. Mine is as responsive a laminate as it gets. As far as the side material, it looks more like
Cocobolo. It's real pretty stuff IMO.....

The sites that list descriptions aren't clear on that issue and also if anyone could tell me how the cutaway sounds compared to the other Blue ridge's
I've mentioned...well, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
